Dear Members of the Asian Society for Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ASPID) and Colleagues,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee and in collaboration with the Hong Kong Society for Paediatric Immunology Allergy and Infectious Diseases (HKSPIAID), it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 11th Asian Congress of Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ACPID) which will be held in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China from 13th to 15th December 2024.

The world and our lives were heavily struck by the COVID-19 pandemic in the past four years, despite the gradual return to normality after the COVID-19 pandemic, we are still experiencing upsurge of various viral and bacterial infections among children and adolescent population globally in this “post pandemic periods”.  The challenge of prevention and treatment of SARS-CoV2 infection and its mutant strains is still ongoing while we also need to look for advances in the diagnosis and treatment of other prevailing and emerging infections.  Asian Congress of Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ACPID 2024) is one of the most well-known and eagerly awaited conferences for the professionals to update and explore the issues in the field of pediatric infectious diseases in Asia.  “United, Work Together for Our Children”「團結、合作為兒童」has been chosen as the theme of ACPID 2024. This Congress will be an exciting platform for in-depth discussion on the most recent advancements in the field and a place to meet with various experts in the world.

The ACPID 2024 Scientific Programme Committee has been working hard to prepare a rich and contemporaneous programme on the topics related to the congress theme.  Please join us for an outstanding scientific meeting that will enrich all participants’ knowledge and enhance the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of pediatric infectious diseases for all children.

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

On behalf of the Organizing Committee and in collaboration with the Hong Kong Society for Paediatric Immunology Allergy and Infectious Diseases (HKSPIAID), it is our great pleasure to invite you to the 11th Asian Congress of Pediatric Infectious Diseases (ACPID 2024) which will be held in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China from 13th to 15th December, 2024.

The normal face-to-face people interactions and activities was tremendously disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic since 2020.  After three years of various social distancing and isolation measures, we have finally combated COVID-19 pandemic and progress into normalcy, and resuming all what we precious face-to-face activities including valuable educational opportunities.  Hence, the ACPID 2024 Organizing Committee has come to the decision to hold the congress in-person.  With the past experiences of combating emerging infectious diseases e.g. avian to swine influenza, SARS to COVID-19, we know we can only overcome all these difficulties by working together among all the people in the society.  Therefore, the theme of the ACPID 2024 is “United, Work Together for Our Children”「團結、合作為兒童」

ACPID is one of the most expected congress in the field of paediatric infectious diseases as we are not only encountering infectious diseases similar over the world but also challenges we face for tropical diseases or even the neglected one.  The scientific program will include emerging infectious diseases, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases, most up-to-date diagnostics and future research road map.  The ACPID 2024 Organizing Committee and members of HKSPIAID are committed to making the congress a memorable experience.  Let’s join us for this outstanding scientific meeting and enrich your knowledge and bring your invaluable experiences back to your country to help our children.  Let’s work together for our children for better health and future.
